Kardinalija is the name of the few Soviet buildings, which are built in Old Town in the place of the former palace of Radvilas, the richest family in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania.

Literatų gatvė wall

One of the walls on Literatų gatvė (Literary street) in Old Town is decorated with many little different buttons, pictures and other stuff, which makes is it worth to see.

Kalnų Parkas

Kalnų Parkas (Park of Hills) is located between Old Town, Neris river and Uzupis. Sights like Gediminas Tower and Three Crosses (in the centre of photo) are located here.

First Stone Church

St. Paraskeva Church (aka Piatnicos cerkvė) is the first not wooden church in Vilnius. It was built in 1864 at Didžioji gatvė.

Nordea is one 12 foreign bank's branches in Lithuania. Nordea is Scandinavian Bank with strong presence in Sweden and Finland.

Little Flower Market

One of the few Vilnius flower markets is located on Vienuoliu gatve, next to Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre.

Today is 6 months since I came to work and live in Vilnius, the capital city of Lithuania, the neighbor of home country - Latvia.
Before I had another blog devoted to Riga, but since I spend more time in Vilnius than in Riga, I decided to start to start another blog. Maybe in future I will merge them under one name.
